The Substance Abuse Foundation Inc. (SAF) is a registered Charity of Barbados and was established in 1996 by a group of concerned citizens, who recognised the need to provide a safe and secure environment for the treatment of individuals and families, whose lives had been devastated by alcohol and drug dependency.
Project Summary
The Trust provided funding for a Toyota Hiace van to transport the clients (patients of Verdun House) to and from Alcoholic Anonymous and Narcotic Anonymous meetings, court and medical appointments and to take clients on facility outings such as picnics and local cultural events.
