The Barbados Cancer Society is a nation-wide Charitable Organisation, dedicated to the prevention and alleviation of pain and suffering from cancer by public education, the promotion of early detection and prompt treatment, and the provision of patient care, support services and sincere counselling.
Project Summary
The Trust provided funding towards the construction of Digital Mammography Centre by extension to the Barbados Cancer Society Headquarters Building that presently houses a recently purchased digital mammography machine. This equipment is essential to the demand for low-cost mammography at their Breast Screening Unit.
