Project Summary
The Trust’s donation provided the More Than Words programme with the opportunity to enlighten parents, caregivers and teachers on how to become the primary facilitator of their child’s communication and language development, thereby maximising the child’s opportunities to develop communication skills in everyday situations. More Than Words addresses the needs of both non-verbal and verbal children with Autism Spectrum Disorders. The number of children being diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders is on the rise making this programme crucial as it teaches families and caregivers how to communicate with Autistic children.
