Jeconiah Foundation’s primary function is to build wholesome and rewarding relationships with children who are living within the State Children’s homes in Barbados and to collaborate with the agencies and NGOs that cater to the children by offering support where necessary.
Project Summary
The Trust’s donation provided funding over a three year period to cover the cost of transportation for the students of the University of West Indies who assist with the Jeconiah Homework Programme at Farrs and Sterling Children’s homes. As a result of the funding provided by the Trust, Jeconiah Foundation was able to provide resources to assist the children with their studies. There was also an element of mentoring which resulted in the improvement of attitudes and school grades of the wards of the two homes.
