The communities in the Pine and Wildey districts have little or no facilities to attract or positively engage the youth in the district. There was an urgent need to upgrade the Parkinson Community Centre and the nearby football field.
Project Summary
The Trust’s donation will provide an upgrade of the current facilities inclusive of providing sporting and training facilities, doubling the amount of floor space in the community centre, supplying an IT workshop and computer equipment for vocational training for use by the local community members and creating new road access and parking facilities. This support will build social cohesion and personal development amongst the community members and provide the youth of the area with the ability to participate in a number of activities.
